The Mother's Day Time to Teal Run went virtual on May 10, 2020 with participants joining together across the country to raise funds for ovarian cancer research and survivor support programs. Prizes were awarded for best teal costume, most creative route, cutest pet outfit and more!  The "Why We Run" Video Campaign shared stories of survivors and those who lost loved ones to ovarian cancer.

Each year, almost 22,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and each year 14,000 women lose their battle with the disease. About 700 women will be diagnosed in Michigan alone this year. Most cases are diagnosed in their later stages. If diagnosed and treated early, the five-year survival rate exceeds 90 percent. Awareness of symptoms is essential to early detection and survival. This is the goal of the Mother's Day Race - raising awareness so more women are detected at an early stage.

YOU Made a Difference This Mother's Day. Thank you for joining us to celebrate the women in your lives. You celebrated, honored and remembered. You raised funds, you created teams, you joined together to run or walk to make a difference.

Your financial support will help create a better tomorrow by raising money to fund ovarian cancer research right here in Michigan and by funding supportive services to those battling the disease today. You answered the call. You made it happen. For that, we are deeply grateful.
