Representing ovarian cancer survivors from across the state, MIOCA works to advance federal and state legislation to improve funding and support for survivors. MIOCA speaks as the voice of survivors educating legislators about the public policy initiatives critical to saving lives from ovarian cancer. Each year, our MIOCA and members of our Michigan teal community attends OCRA's Advocacy Day to represent the voices of those affected by ovarian cancer.  Learn more about our legislative efforts in 2023 to advance public policy initiatives and increase funding for ovarian cancer research.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) organizes this important event in an effort to bring awareness of ovarian cancer to members of Congress and stress the need for continued funding for ovarian cancer research on the federal level. Our team is excited to participate again this year and we encourage YOU to join us virtually on Wednesday, March 15th.

From OCRA:

Help make a difference for the ovarian cancer community — without even leaving home! On March 15th, join us to advocate virtually for federal research and education programs that pave the way for better treatments and more progress that can save lives.

Advocacy experience is not required to participate. Whether you're an experienced advocate, or just starting out, we need YOU!

On March 9th, you can learn alongside other survivors, caregivers and supporters from across the country at virtual advocacy training, which is mandatory for all participants. OCRA will walk you through how to share your story and communicate with your elected officials about why ovarian cancer research and education must remain a legislative priority.

Virtual meetings with your Members of Congress will take place throughout the day on March 15th. Participants can expect to meet with up to 3 Members of Congress.

This is an incredible opportunity to share your passion for the cause in a deeply impactful way. Registration is free, and closes on March 7th.

Sign up today, and make your voice heard!
