MIOCA is proud to be a charity partner of the 2026 Detroit Free Press Marathon.

Running in the Detroit Free Press Marathon?  When you sign up to run in one of the races, select MIOCA as your charity and start fundraising in support of our mission. Rally your friends and family to support your fundraising efforts as you embark on an incredible journey to make a meaningful difference. 

Plus, your fundraising efforts will earn you amazing prizes: 

• Raise $100 by September 20, 2026 and receive a set of BibBoard bib snaps
• Raise $250 by September 20, 2026 and earn bib snaps plus an athletic-blend MIOCA t-shirt, perfect for wearing at packet pickup or race day
• Raise $500 by September 20, 2026 and get the bib snaps, MIOCA t-shirt, and a running hat!

The top fundraiser will receive a special prize as our way of saying thank you!

Thanks to the generosity of our in-kind donors, the top fundraiser will receive a Detroit-themed gift basket from City Bird and an overnight stay for two at the Somerset Inn, on either a Friday or Saturday, along with a “Made to Order” breakfast for two the next morning!

Not a runner, but still want to get involved?  We are in need of volunteers to give their time on behalf of MIOCA! Volunteers can sign up for one of the following roles: 

Saturday Races: Finisher Medals Distribution (October 17th, 7am-11:30am)

Saturday Expo Marathon Shop (October 17th, 9:30am-1:30pm)
