Matthew Ephraim, Esq.
Matthew has a unique and diverse background of being a practicing lawyer, a former event planner and also having an extensive fundraising background. He brings to MIOCA 10+ years of legal experience to assist our board. Matthew owned his own legal practice in Nashville, Tennessee and has been a litigating attorney here at home in Michigan for two fortune 500 companies. Matthew recently stepped away from the courtroom and is now a Legal Operations Consultant for LPM Executive.
Matthew has extensive experience as an event planner, operations manager, and as a legal assistant. Matthew organized and managed major corporate events such as the Super Bowl, presidential elections, weddings and celebrity fundraisers. Matthew managed a staff of 50+ team members producing all event-day details for major venues and events. He has also fundraised for numerous charitable causes; international organizations; executive boards; and presidential elections.
When he is not working, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, friends and pets and loves watching Detroit sports.
Matthew is honored to be a member of the MIOCA Board and believes this is one of his most important callings as he lost his mother to ovarian cancer in 2015. He and his mother were inseparable and he was proud to call her his best friend. Matthew’s goal is to increase awareness of the ovarian cancer symptoms to all women so more sons can spend more time with their mothers. He takes pride in helping with MIOCA fundraising and assisting with MIOCA events and aspires to see a preventative test for ovarian cancer in his lifetime.
