Join us in welcoming two new staff members at the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (“MIOCA”)

Emily Haan comes to MIOCA with 12 years of experience in healthcare, with a background in many different settings. During her time in healthcare, she worked as a licensed certified pharmacy technician, where she compounded chemotherapy medications for patients. Emily also spent time at the Cowell Family Cancer Center providing integrative therapies, programming, and support groups for cancer patients.Emily graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with an emphasis in event management. She recently earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh College in December 2019.
Liz Audette joins MIOCA as a part-time Communication and Social Media Coordinator. Her role in building awareness is a key component of MIOCA’s strategy to connect with our community of survivors and families, medical professionals, supporters and the general public to expand philanthropic support. Liz has worked and/or volunteered in the nonprofit sector for 25 years. She’s also employed at the Ann Arbor Women’s Group as their Communications, Marketing and Development Specialist, and has been there for 9 years. Liz has her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University in Communications, with a minor in Marketing. She is passionate about working with women’s organizations and causes.Back
